Hope

I have failed, once more the heavy door of fortune closeth behined me ,with the sure thud ,pressed by the jailers hand.
For it was not from lack of trying, or ideas becoming life ,twas infatuation, frustration anger with hate ,that led to this capitulation we talk of now.
I have been happier, stronger laughed longer in days gone by, cast into the abyss you will barely here a cry, but through pain ,strain and the quietness a man needs, back I will be with a smile, a wink and a life with few needs, but simple pleasures and ample food, a hand to hold a shoulder for tears beneath a favorite Oak where I can see my life ahead for countryside miles and satisfied years.
